Through this funding we aim to increase access to the Plumstead Common Nature Reserve, both: through the repair of the entrance steps and improving the perception of safety and condition of the green space, parts of which are in poor condition. The increased access will have many benefits, including allowing more volunteer maintenance / improvement tasks, increasing the use of the site by the general public, which will help reduce anti-social behaviour, such as vandalism and unauthorised fires. The repair work will be done using sustainable recycled materials.
