Last Saturday 16th March 2024 was the first of two family days funded by SNG World Mental Health Day grant. When we invite families to come to the garden and take part in activities to grow this year’s organic crops at the community garden. On the first day families planted flower bulbs and prepared the growing beds for this year’s crops. Then the families enjoyed a hot pizza cooked in the garden, after the gardening activity many families joined us in the nearby Knights Hill Wood for our afternoon Forest School activity.
This Saturday we plan to sow vegetable seeds for growing in the community garden. Join us from 10am to 12 noon in Portobello Community Garden for another fun and free activity.
The free sessions are drop in and open to everyone, come along and help transform this amazing space.
