Charity Nature Vibezzz has been awarded grant funding from Gipsy Hill Health and Welling small grant fund.
The funded community project aims to run 15 activities engaging with a wide of people from the local community. Activity sessions will be run on Saturday mornings 10 am to 12 noon starting Saturday 23rd April 2022.
The aim of the project will be to grow organic fruit and vegetables at housing estate community gardens, increasing local community cohesion, teaching participants new skills, increasing their confidence and social networks (new friends).
The 15 Forest School / gardening sessions run at Tivoli Park and housing estates close to the park.
These weekly family focused activities (with seasonal adjustments) shall be run as Saturday morning activities. Our project activities shall involve children; young people and family members learning to grow fruit and vegetables at housing Estate community gardens strengthening family bonds and promoting healthy living.
